The Detroit Lions announced the placement of several players on injury lists to start training camp, including defensive lineman Levi Onwuzurike, who will now miss the first four games of the season.

The Lions will also have the benefit of 2025 first-round pick Tyleik Williams having the ability to play the nose tackle position in certain packages as well. However, he could be better suited to play a three-technique with Onwuzurike out. Martin is facing a pivotal training camp, while Smith has proven to be reliable when called upon in a pinch.

The Lions boast maybe the best duo of RB's in the NFL. While Jahmyr Gibbs has been remarkably healthy, his counterpart David Montgomery is coming off a knee injury. Health is always a concern at this position because any injury to any body part can be hard to play through.
