Officials on Monday released the identity of human remains discovered near the Alpine Ridge Trail in Rocky Mountain National Park last month.

The Alpine Ridge is a hiking trail at the park. It is only 0.6 miles in distance round trip, but has an elevation gain of 162 feet, according to the National Park Service.
