The company joins a growing list of automakers who have inserted similar caveats in their financial outlooks as they struggle to get a grip on dynamic U.S. trade policy.

Volkswagen's premium brand Audi on Monday kept its full-year guidance, with the caveat that any impact from U.S. tariffs was not included, after its first-quarter revenue rose 12.4% on higher sales of electric models.

The group’s revenue in the first quarter was €15.43 billion, up 12.4% from the same period last year, owing to factors including higher electric vehicle sales.
