Emmet County Sheriff’s Office deputies were searching for Bradford James Gille over the weekend, but the 42-year-old was not located before he carried out a mass stabbing at a Walmart in Traverse City.

Bradford James Gille, 42, is suspected of traveling from his home nearly 100 miles away to perpetrate the stabbing attack at the Walmart store in Garfield Township, just outside of Traverse City. He is slated to be arraigned soon on criminal charges that include attempted murder and terrorism.

Authorities in northern Michigan will seek terrorism and assault with intent to murder charges against a man accused of stabbing 11 people at a Walmart on Saturday.

Authorities in Michigan are crediting a group of courageous bystanders—one of them reportedly armed—with helping subdue a man accused of stabbing 11 people at random inside a Walmart in Traverse City on Saturday.

Sheriff's deputies were unable to locate the man on Friday, a day before he allegedly stabbed 11 people in the Traverse City Walmart.

Michigan Traverse City stabbing suspect Bradford James Gille is reportedly the author of a self-published book titled The Book of I Jesus Christ.

"I'm still sitting and grappling with the weight of realizing that it was kind of a life-or-death moment," said Julia Martell, who witnessed the stabbing, which wounded 11 people.
