WASHINGTON - The Trump administration will not immediately impose a new 10% tariff against members of the developing nation BRICS bloc, but will proceed if countries take so-called \"anti-American\" policy actions,

The BRICS bloc is made up of 11 nations, with Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa making up the core group. The bloc has drawn Trump's ire before.

“Any Country aligning themselves with the Anti-American policies of BRICS, will be charged an ADDITIONAL 10% Tariff. There will be no exceptions to this policy,” Mr. Trump said in a Truth Social post. He did not elaborate, nor did he say what BRICS policies he was referring to.
