The sudden cloudburst in Neelum Valley, Azad Kashmir, caused heavy flooding and widespread destruction. Floodwaters washed away three bridges and two guesthouses in Jagraan. Several kilometers of roads were also destroyed.

More than three dozen people are dead after a cloudburst triggered a flash flood in Kashmir and other nearby areas.

Flash floods caused by torrential rains in a remote village in India-controlled Kashmir have left at least 56 people dead and scores missing, authorities said Thursday, as rescue teams scouring the devastated Himalayan village brought at least 300 people to safety.
