Deion Sanders ' son Shedeur held his head high after going unselected during the first round of the NFL Draft. Shedeur, 23, threw a lavish party on April 24 with friends and family as he hoped his name would be called during the draft, but the Colorado Buffaloes quarterback remained unselected as the first round concluded.

As Shedeur Sanders waits to hear his name called on day two of the 2025 NFL draft, his father is posting motivational messages online in an apparent show of support for his son.

"My bible says God uses the foolish things to confound the wise (and) he chose the weak things of the world that he may put to shame the strong!" Deion wrote, drawing from St. Paul's first epistle to the Corinthians. "Please know God ain't done (and) God is just really getting started. Enjoy this lesson (and) stop stressing."
