A Dallas Cowboys fan was trolling social media by presenting an old clip as a 'George Pickens touchdown' on the first day of training camp and duped ESPN.

A video of Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott slinging a pass to wide receiver Brandin Cooks from training camp in 2023 was passed along on X as Prescott throwing the ball to wide receiver George Pickens on Monday. It then appeared on ESPN’s “First Take,” where the analysts discussed the clip as if it was recent.

ESPN insider Adam Schefter was unaware that a video clip on Tuesday’s episode of First Take mistook Brandin Cooks for George Pickens. ESPN erroneously stated that a video of Cooks taken in 2023 was Pickens catching a touchdown on the first play of training camp.
