Sky Germany have been briefed by Eintracht Frankfurt that an offer just under £70million was knocked back by the Bundesliga club. It is understood that the striker has an £86m release clause and that Frankfurt want to see a bigger bid from the Magpies.

Newcastle United having made contact with the striker’s representatives to make known to Hugo Ekitike that they want to sign him. Whilst NUFC also entering talks with Eintracht Frankfurt to try and agree a transfer fee.
