The Miami Heat's relationship with star Jimmy Butler grew sour before he was traded to the Golden State Warriors. Bleacher Report named their break-up as one of the messiest in the NBA since 2010.

Jimmy Butler is a perfect example of just how extreme these dissolutions can become. Not only is he fresh off a contentious exit from the Miami Heat, but his Golden State Warriors are duking it out in the Western Conference semifinals against the Minnesota Timberwolves, the team he openly forced his way off back in 2018.

They trail the Minnesota Timberwolves two games to one in the series, and ever since Curry went out in Game 1 due to a hamstring strain, they have struggled to put points on the board. They scored just 93 points in a Game 2 blowout loss and 97 points in Game 3, and even when they won in Game 1, they failed to reach the century mark.
