Veteran goaltender John Gibson, one of few being mentioned in trade rumors around the NHL, suffered an upper-body injury during the first period of the Anaheim Ducks' game against the Nashville Predators and was replaced by Lukas Dostal on Saturday night.

Gibson, who stopped 9 of 10 shots in the first period, was replaced by Lukas Dostal to start the second. The Ducks confirmed Gibson would not return to the game following his removal from it. "Lukas Dostal is now in net for us. John Gibson has an upper-body injury and will not return to this game," the Ducks announced on X.

The Anaheim Ducks will be without their No. 1 goalie as they go for their second straight win Saturday against the Nashville Predators. John Gibson was ruled out by the team with an upper-body injury to begin the second period and was replaced by Lukas Dostal.
