Auburn remains unranked in US LBM Coaches Poll after loss at Texas A&M
The Auburn Tigers unsurprisingly remained unranked in this week's US LBM Coaches Poll after losing their second straight contest.
The Tigers were defeated at rival Ole Miss, 24-19. No. 2 Penn State fell to No. 5 Oregon, 30-24, in double overtime and No. 3 Georgia lost to No. 16 Alabama, 24-21, at home. It was a wild weekend as four top 10 teams went down, including No. 8 Florida State in double overtime at Virginia, 46-38.
Texas A&M has risen to No. 5 in the latest US LBM Coaches Poll, which is the Aggies' highest ranking since the 2021 season.
USC fans may complain about how the Trojans fell out of the rankings after one loss by two points, while other teams remained in the top 25 after a blowout loss and/or multiple defeats. At the end of the day, however, Lincoln Riley’s team has no one to blame but themselves for losing a game to a team that they had more than enough talent to beat.
There will be a major shakeup of the US LBM Coaches Poll after significant results in Week 5. How will the top 10 look? We give our prediction.
