Inter Miami bagged a 2-1 win against FC Porto in their second match of the Club World Cup on June 18 at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, Georgia. After Porto opened their scoring with Samu Aghehowa successfully converting a penalty in the eighth minute, Telasco Segovia netted the equalizer for Inter Miami in the 47th minute.

It was a massive result from Inter Miami, who disappointed in their first match at the Club World Cup in a scoreless draw against Egypt's Al-Ahly. Coming into the event, Porto was the prohibitive favorite to win Group A but now has a draw against Brazil's Palmeiras and a loss to the MLS' Inter Miami.
