The Mississippi town of Clarksdale is, in many ways, the heart and soul of the movie Sinners. But, until this week, its residents had no way to benefit from the film’s massive success at the box office.

Clarksdale, Mississippi – which serves as inspiration for the setting of the Michael B. Jordan-starring film “Sinners” – does not have a local cineplex, but the city is finally getting a long-awaited screening.

Ryan Coogler and other members of the cast and crew of "Sinners" are scheduled to appear in Clarksdale on May 29 for a special screening of the film.
