DETROIT -- The Detroit Tigers will have five All-Stars in Atlanta next week. Utility man Zach McKinstry was added to the roster as a replacement on Wednesday. He joins outfielders Riley Greene and Javier Báez; second baseman Gleyber Torres; and starting pitcher Tarik Skubal.

Having a breakout year in his sixth major league season, Detroit Tigers utility player Zach McKinstry was named to his first All-Star team.

Major League Baseball announced during the first inning of the Tigers-Rays finale that Zach McKinstry was added to the American League roster for the game Tuesday in Atlanta. McKinstry, who finished third in the fan balloting at third base, joins starters Riley Greene, Javier Baez and Gleyber Torrez, along with pitcher Tarik Skubal.
