Robby Bolin’s single in the 10th inning produced a Nebraska win over Michigan State Tuesday night at the Big Ten baseball tournament.

An error in the bottom of the ninth inning caused Michigan State's demise in a 5-4 loss to Nebraska in the Big Ten Tournament.

The Big Ten Conference Baseball Tournament ended Day 1 on an electric note Tuesday. 8-seed Nebraska trailed 12-seed Michigan State by as much as three midway through the game. The Huskers added a pair in the sixth inning before tying the game in the ninth.

With two outs in the bottom of the ninth, Joshua Overbeek hit a flyball to right field, but a dropped ball let Robby Bolin score the tying run and send the game to extra innings.

No. 8 Nebraska will play their second pool game on Friday when they take on No. 1 Oregon at 6 p.m. at Charles Schwab Field.
