Dog lovers and activists in Delhi’s Rohini Sector 27 alleged that carcasses and skeletal remains of stray dogs, including skulls, were found dumped in an open ground. The discovery sparked an overnight protest outside a municipal sterilisation centre,

MCD has begun the process of identifying points for designating them as feeding areas for stray dogs. Meanwhile, Resident Welfare Associations have said that SC's directive on designated feeding points in every locality is ‘impractical’.

They added that MCD should show ‘the same level of excitement’ in building dedicated feeding spaces as they showed for catching stray dogs and putting them in shelters.
