Venezuela’s Nicolas Maduro has been sworn in for a third presidential term despite the protests of the country’s opposition movement, capping more than five months of dispute over last summer’s contested election.

The United States offered a $25 million (£20 million) reward for information leading to the arrest of Nicolás Maduro on Friday, as the Venezuelan dictator was sworn-in for a third term.

On the same day Nicolás Maduro was sworn in to serve a six-year term as the president of Venezuela, the U.S. announced a $25 million reward for his arrest. The reward is part of a program aimed at "disrupting and dismantling transnational drug trafficking organizations."
