McCormick was one of the thousands of people who participated in a “No Kings” protest at Old College Hall in Newark on June 14 to make a difference.

Thousands gathered Saturday at the Delaware County Courthouse in Media as part of the No Kings Nationwide Day of Defiance in opposition to President Donald Trump and his policies.

The "No Kings" protest and march happening in Philadelphia on Saturday coincides with hundreds of rallies scheduled to take place across the country.

"We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values and to act lawfully at these events..."

Attendees chanted "No dictators," "No kings" along the route. There was also an array of people carrying signs reading: "No hate, racism, Trump," "No kings," "fighting tyranny since 1776" and many more promoting peace. Cars honked, backing marchers.

Social justice groups across the country will demonstrate on June 14, as part of a national day of action organized by the 50501 movement.
