Finishing with a 24-58 record, Philadelphia's core superstars in Tyrese Maxey (29 games missed), Paul George (41 games missed), and Joel Embiid (63 games missed) weren't able to stay on the court, resulting in an underwhelming season.

Grant Afseth of Fastbreak Journal has reported that there is concern about Embiid ever being able to fully regain or sustain the level of play that made him a superstar. Afseth also reported that there is concern about Embiid potentially needing another knee surgery in the future.

Joel Embiid is one of the greatest players in NBA history, but no one would know it the way he’s talked about. There has never been a more disrespected player in NBA history than Embiid, and there is not a close second.
