After two months of speculation, fan base frustration and Triple-A moon shots, the Red Sox called up the 21-year-old outfielder on Monday. Anthony, born on May 13, 2004, is now the youngest player in The Show, taking that title away from fellow 2004 baby and Brewers outfielder Jackson Chourio.

The Boston Red Sox promoted outfielder Roman Anthony to the majors, the team announced Monday. Anthony was in the starting lineup against the Tampa Bay Rays, batting fifth and manning right field. Wilyer Abreu landed on the injured list with an oblique strain.

Roman Anthony has played just two games in MLB after being called up by the Red Sox. But it hasn’t stopped talk about his chances at being named the AL Rookie of the Year.
