After Russell Wilson was benched in favor of rookie quarterback Jaxson Dart, reporters asked him about it and what the future might hold for him.
Wilson, a 10-time Pro Bowler and Super Bowl champion with Seattle, is expected to emerge as a trade candidate ahead of the Nov. 4 deadline for a quarterback-needy team, according to NFL Media.
Wilson, it’s worth recalling, was not always the most popular player amongst his teammates in Seattle, particularly Sherman. A 2017 ESPN the Magazine story from Seth Wickersham, which detailed the downfall of the Legion of Boom Seahawks, memorably led with an anecdote in which Sherman screamed, “You f–king suck” at Wilson during practice.
