San Francisco Giants third baseman Matt Chapman was placed on the 10-day injured list Tuesday with inflammation in his right hand after a weekend injury against Atlanta.

The Giants followed up that news Tuesday with eight mostly listless innings against the worst team in the major leagues. Then the wind kicked up in the ninth, and they rallied for a four-run uprising to take a 6-5 victory over the Colorado Rockies.

The Giants will play key NL West trip at Colorado and LA without their Gold Glove third baseman, who injured his hand in Sunday’s win against the Braves.
