The National Weather Service issued tornado warnings for parts of Kentucky, Tennessee, West Virginia and Virginia on Friday, hours after a harsh storm hit a remote area of central Kentucky, killing one person and injuring at least 14 more,

KENTUCKY, USA — There are multiple counties in Kentucky under a Tornado Warning Friday morning. As of 5:30 a.m., Green, Larue and Hart counties are under a Tornado Warning. A severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado was located over Munfordville, moving northeast at 35 mph.

At least one person is dead and seven others injured after an unexpected tornado struck a rural Kentucky county early Friday morning as a line of severe storms moved eastward across the state.
