Wide receiver Art Monk, center, will have his jersey number retired this season by the Washington Commanders.
The Washington Commanders said Tuesday they are retiring Hall of Fame wide receiver Art Monk’s No. 81 this season. Monk is the sixth player in franchise history to get that honor, joining Darrell Green, Sammy Baugh, Bobby Mitchell, Sonny Jurgensen and Sean Taylor.
The 12 regular-season wins tied for the third-highest total in franchise history. This team, and its star rookie quarterback, Jayden Daniels, belongs in any top 10 conversation.
