Trump sued by preservationists seeking architecture review over White House ballroom project
WASHINGTON (AP) — President Donald Trump was sued on Friday by preservationists seeking an architecture review and congressional approval over his White House ballroom project.
The U.S. President said the project will be completed in a "very short period of time" before the end of his second term
The ballroom project is among several sweeping changes the Republican president has made to the White House since he returned to office in January. Trump installed gold decorations throughout the Oval Office, and he paved over the lawn of the Rose Garden to create a patio similar to the setting at his Mar-a-Lago estate in Florida.
The National Trust for Historic Preservation filed a federal lawsuit Friday to block President Trump’s construction of a large new ballroom on White House grounds, arguing that he violated at least four laws in bypassing any review process.
On Friday, Gov. Wes Moore took another jab at President Donald Trump, but also said he wants “to be able to work with the president.”
President Donald Trump says he hasn’t seen the photos from Jeffrey Epstein’s estate released Friday by Democrats on the House Oversight Committee, but says they are not a big deal.
