FRANKFORT, Ky. (WKYT) - A Kentucky lawmaker has filed legislation for the third time that would require animal control officers to be trained on recognizing signs of child abuse and reporting it.

Reporting child abuse is the  “end point of responsibility,” under this bill. Animal control officers would have no responsibility to investigate.
