Dans Locmelis had another good showing in international play with Latvia in the Winter Olympics. Unfortunately, the fourth-round draft pick of the Boston Bruins in 2022 will not return to the AHL’s Providence Bruins this season as the forward will undergo season-ending shoulder surgery soon.
The Boston Bruins should be looking to make some moves ahead of the 2026 NHL trade deadline. The Black and Gold currently hold the second wild card spot in the Eastern Conference, but have multiple teams close behind them in the standings. With this, they should be looking to make some additions to improve their group.
Konecny scored his team-leading 23rd goal of the season, sliding the puck past Jeremy Swayman off a drop pass from Christian Dvorak at 3:41 of the third. Konency then set up Drysdale for a wrister that made it 2-0 with 8:05 left.

Bruins Eye Trade To Improve Roster Now And For The Future
The NHL March 6 Trade Deadline continues to inch closer as teams finalize their plans for the coming days. That includes the Boston Bruins, who are looking to add and make a run in the playoffs.
The Eagles have six Bruins picks on their roster this season: Hagens (seventh overall, 2025 Draft), Letourneau (25th overall, 2024 Draft), Gasseau (seventh round, 2021 Draft), Jellvik (fifth round, 2021 Draft), Will Moore (second round, 2025 Draft) and Kristian Kostadinski (seventh round, 2023 Draft).
If the Bruins want to add an impact player at the NHL trade deadline, it shouldn't be a rental. A long-term fit makes more sense.
