Funeral arrangements have been announced for the Uxbridge police officer who was killed Wednesday in a crash while helping another motorist. Patrolman Stephen LaPorta, 43, was responding to a car crash on Route 146 when a tractor-trailer hit both the officer and his cruiser. LaPorta was declared dead at the scene.
