Deion Sanders and the Colorado Buffaloes are leaving no stone unturned as they ride a rocky NCAA season without Shedeur Sanders under center.

Despite his accomplishments in college, Sanders began this season as the Browns' third-string quarterback behind veteran Joe Flacco and fellow rookie Dillon Gabriel. Gabriel took over as the starter for Flacco in Week 5, then Flacco was traded to the Cincinnati Bengals. Sanders then moved up to the backup.

Sanders was a late addition to the injury report prior to a matchup with the Patriots with a back injury. He travelled with the team and tested it out pregame. However, he did not suit up, with Bailey Zappe assuming the backup role behind Dillon Gabriel.

The Colorado Buffaloes are struggling in head coach Deion Sanders' third season in Boulder. Although the Buffs finished 9-4 last season, Colorado has started this season 3-5, and have lost three out of its last four games. The Buffs' most recent loss was an embarrassing one, losing 53-7 at Utah.
