Elon Musk's xAI launched its chatbot in 2023 as an alternative to other "woke" bots. Here's what you need to know about Grok.
Grok 4 was trained on Colossus, a supercomputer that xAI launched in Memphis last year. The system featured 100,000 graphics cards when it came online in September. According to xAI, that number topped 200,000 in May and will eventually reach 1 million.
Explore Grok 4, the groundbreaking AI redefining intelligence with multimodal inputs, real-time search, and postgraduate-level reasoning.
X (néeTwitter) was forced to switch off the social media platform’s in-built AI, Grok, after it declared itself to be a robot version of Hitler, spewing antisemitic hate and racist conspiracy theories.
It’s hard to believe that the all-knowing AI of a month ago is now a sort of sewer outlet. It’s difficult to envisage a more thorough or effective way of killing Grok as a credible commercial product. There may also be grounds for class actions around the world, given the hate speech content.
AI has officially lunched Grok 4 during a livestream with Elon Musk, who called it the "smartest AI in the world."
