LUNA COUNTY, N.M. — New Mexico State Police officers found a kidnapped teenager and took her abductor into custody Friday.

As of 7:50 a.m. eastbound traffic on Interstate 10 appeared to be backed up past Martin Luther King Jr. Drive nearly six miles from the state line, according to Google Maps.

All eastbound and westbound lanes were reopened just before 2 p.m., according to the Beaumont Police Department.
