Despite consecutive wins over quality opponents, the Kansas basketball team still has a lot to prove moving forward.

The Kansas Jayhawks football team got a lot better on Thursday. Linebacker Trey Lathan announced he would return to KU after previously saying he intended to enter the transfer portal. It was unclear whether Lathan ever actually entered the portal after the announcement.
The contests featured plenty of soon-to-be NBA Draft picks, including Darryn Peterson and Flory Bidunga on Kansas’ side, and Cameron Carr and Tounde Yessoufou on Baylor’s. All four saw solid performances, though the Jayhawks saw the better night overall.
There is a long way to go and lots of good teams in the Big 12. But Tuesday night felt like a possible turning point for Kansas, as the Jayhawks hosted undefeated Iowa State and became the first team to beat TJ Otzelberger's Cyclones this season. Final score: Kansas 84, Iowa State 63.
