North Korea condemned an ongoing U.S.-South Korea joint military exercise Wednesday, saying another incident like Seoul's recent accidental bombing of its own village near the DMZ could lead to "a new armed conflict.

North Korea’s state media on Wednesday mentioned the South Korean fighter jets’ accidental bombing of a civilian village last week in lambasting the ongoing annual South Korea-US springtime military exercise.

South Korean fighter jets accidentally bombed homes during a live-fire drill with US forces, injuring more than two dozen people on Thursday, Seoul’s military said.
