Daniel Enriquez, 48, was on his way to brunch when he was killed on a Q train Sunday. Enriquez's sister said the subway was not his first choice, but a ride share was just too expensive.

Enriquez lived in Park Slope for 18 years with his partner Adam Pollock, who told the Daily Mail Enriquez never took the train, but wanted to avoid surging ride-share prices.

Police say they received a call after 3 p.m. for shots fired at the East 15th Street and Avenue U Q train station, where they found an 18-year-old and 21-year-old man suffering from gunshot wounds.
