Nvidia launches Jetson AGX Thor "robot brain" chip for $3,499, targeting robotics growth with 7.5x faster AI processing for humanoid robots and autonomous cars.

Nvidia launched Thor via a video (top) featuring the company’s long-time CEO Jensen Huang handing a gift box to a humanoid robot with a message card that says, “Enjoy your new brain.” The clip then shows multiple humanoid robots opening the box to find the new device that’s designed to make it a lot cleverer.

The tech giant’s latest robotics offering is Jetson Thor, a super computer built for real-time AI computation on humanoid robots and smart machines alike, Nvidia announced in a press release on Monday.
