At last, Rory McIlroy addressed his driver issue at the PGA Championship, and he had some very strong opinions that he felt compelled to share.

McIlroy was heavily tipped to shine at Quail Hollow, a course where he had enjoyed success in the past and following on from his Masters triumph in April, but it wasn’t to be as the world No 2 struggled to find his best form.

It took several questions but eventually Rory McIlroy was asked why he ducked the media about his driver that was deemed non-conforming.
