According to Jon Heyman and Joel Sherman of the New York Post, the Blue Jays' last offer to Guerrero before his deadline was around $500 million, but with deferred money included. That lowered the present-day value of the deal to between $400-$450 million.

"The number Vladimir Guerrero Jr. wants is $500 million," Rosenthal reported. "Not $500 million before deferrals, but $500 million in present value, according to sources briefed on the first baseman ’s contract negotiations with the Toronto Blue Jays."
