The A’s placed All-Star shortstop Jacob Wilson on the 10-day injured list with a left forearm fracture while recalling infielder Darell Hernaiz from Triple-A Sacramento as the corresponding move, the team announced on Tuesday.
It doesn't seem to a be a serious issue, but Wilson will receive a day off Sunday while in the midst of a 3-for-29 slump. Max Schuemann is instead starting at shortstop for the A's.
