The Lakers might just get a steal with Austin Reaves' next contract. The young star might just give the Lakers a cheap contract extension.

Reaves is entering the final season of his deal before a $15 million player option for the 2026-27 campaign. While much of the focus this offseason has been on LeBron James exercising his option and Luka Dončić agreeing to an extension, Los Angeles will soon need to focus on Reaves.

The Los Angeles Lakers had a whirlwind 2024–25 season. A 50–32 record secured them the third seed in the Western Conference, but their playoff run ended abruptly in the first round despite the blockbuster midseason trade for Luka Dončić.
