LSU's Jay Johnson has devoted his life to college baseball. His reward, his bliss, is being in Omaha coaching the Tigers in the College World Series this week.

The LSU baseball team turned into a juggernaut in 2025, but that’s not to say it was always destined to win a championship.

JAY JOHNSON: First off, the local people have probably heard me say this. But literally, the best part of me being the head coach at LSU has been the relationship that I have with Coach Bertman.
