A federal appeals court has overturned former City State's Attorney Marilyn Mosby's mortgage fraud conviction, but they kept in place her perjury convictions.

A federal appeals court vacated former Baltimore State’s Attorney Marilyn Mosby’s mortgage fraud conviction, while upholding two separate perjury convictions.

In a decision written by Circuit Judge Stephanie D. Thacker, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit ruled an erroneous jury instruction in the mortgage fraud trial against former Baltimore City State's Attorney Marilyn Mosby was sufficiently prejudicial to warrant reversal.
