More than a year after deliveries of the Tesla Cybertruck started, U.S. safety body the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration finally released crash testing results for the enormous electric pickup truck.

While Elon Musk and Tesla fanatics have long praised the Cybertruck even as others loudly mocked the vehicle, another group is now giving the truck its kudos. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration published the highly-anticipated results of its first Cybertruck crash test this week,

The Tesla Cybertruck finally has an official crash safety rating more than a year after deliveries began in Nov. 2023. The result is impressive: five stars overall and in almost all individual categories.
