Osbourne has tragically passed away at the age of 76—just weeks after it was revealed that he was set to quit his residence in the U.S.

Ozzy Osbourne had a long friendship with Motörhead frontman Lemmy Kilmister, and the two musicians now have something eerily in common in death. Both hard rock legends died exactly 17 days after powering through their final concerts amid illness.

Osbourne died on Tuesday at 76, just weeks after he and Black Sabbath performed at their farewell Back to the Beginning concert earlier in July.

Ozzy and Kelly - whom the heavy metal pioneer shared with wife Sharon, along with daughter Aimee and son Jack - were close. Fans first got a look at their family dynamic on The Osbournes, a reality show that ran on MTV for three years in the early 2000s.
