Three Connecticut locations will be included in the sale of 119 JCPenney stores to a Boston-based private equity firm later this summer. An affiliate of Onyx Partners, Ltd. will pay $947 million in cash for the stores, which are located across the country, the Copper Property CTL Pass Through Trust announced on July 25.

Executives for a trust that has worked for four years to sell the property defended the price and said a January deadline was looming.
