Real Betis have wrapped up the deadline day signing of Columbus Crew superstar Cucho Hernández, the Spanish club announced Monday evening. The 25-year-old has put pen to paper on a deal with the LaLiga outfit after Betis splashed a reported $16 million plus add-ons for the Colombian.

Cucho Hernández will not continue to be part of the MLS, since Real Betis truncated the plans of the Columbus Crew fans. Therefore, there are many sadnesses, but no player, less in the MLS, is eternal or considered so in life or in football.

Forward Juan "Cucho" Hernandez, who helped lead the Columbus Crew to the 2023 MLS Cup championship, is heading back to one of Europe's top leagues.
