President Donald Trump's administration has released to deportation officials the personal data for millions of Medicaid enrollees, including their immigration status.

The dataset includes enrollee information from California, Illinois, Washington State, and Washington, DC - all of which offer Medicaid benefits to non-citizens using state funds

Many undocumented immigrants have long feared that their Medi-Cal data would be used against them. Newsom calls it "an abuse."
