ACC’s shaky start to women’s basketball season continues with 13-3 loss to SEC in annual Challenge
Even the two ACC teams that didn’t play in the ACC/SEC Challenge had their troubles Wednesday. Wake Forest was hoping for its first 10-0 start since 2008-09, only to fall behind by 25 at home before losing to William & Mary (3-4), while Quinnipiac (4-3) won at Boston College by 27 points.
Ogden and Somfai are Stanford’s third and fourth winners of ACC weekly awards this season. Nunu Agara was ACC Player of the Week on Nov. 24 and Somfai was ACC Rookie of the Week on Nov. 10. Somfai is the league’s first two-time Rookie of the Week this season.

That echoed preseason optimism in another AP interview, where he cited school’s enhanced investments and efforts to improve scheduling toward boosting tournament-worthy résumés.
