Do you have sputtering taps or noises coming from your pipes? If so, air in the water lines could be to blame. Learn how to remove air from water pipes here.

One would be to install water hammer arresters into piping close to where the noises occur. Or if pipes are visible, perhaps in a basement, you may be able to tighten existing pipe straps or add more.
