The Litter Critter Program offers residents a chance to dispose of unwanted items safely this month.

Litter Critter clean-up events help residents get rid of heavy brush, bulky items and household trash.

You will have the chance to dump unwanted household waste this Saturday at the City’s Litter Critter Clean-Up event. Bulky items, brush, tires, household trash and other items will accepted.

The City’s next Litter Critter community cleanup event takes place on Saturday, November 12, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Veterans Memorial High School parking lot, 3750 Cimarron Boulevard.

Litter critters The 4-by-6 foot wire fish can hold up to 500 bottles and cans. A $4,300 grant from National Grid helped Riverhead’s anti-litter committee install the receptacle.
